Exposición fotográfica de estudiantes de New York Film Academy - República Dominicana y su medio ambiente
Durante años, NYFA ha organizado y liderado viajes alrededor del mundo tanto con la Escuela de Fotografía como con el Departamento de Cine Documental. El trabajo elegido para esta exposición en el DREFF 2016 está producido por estudiantes de NYFA que han viajado a la República Dominicana en los últimos dos años. La tarea asignada consistió en contar historias visuales sobre su experiencia en el país. Algunos de los trabajos son paisajes clásicos que retratan la belleza natural del medio ambiente; otros se enfocan en cómo el medio ambiente es tratado -o maltratado- por los residentes a su alrededor. En cualquier caso, lo que vemos es evocador, apasionado, cautivador y visualmente atractivo, ya sea a través de retratos, paisajes o imágenes de contenido social o de comida.
New York Film Academy Student Photography Exhibition - Environment: The Dominican Republic
For years NYFA has been organizing and leading travel expeditions for both the School’s Photography and Documentary Film Departments. The work chosen for this exhibition at DREFF 2016 is from NYFA students that have traveled to the Dominican Republic in the past two years. The simple assignment to the students was to tell visual stories about their experience in the DR. Some of the work is classic landscape, portraying the environment in its natural beauty; other work takes a hard look at how the environment is treated, or mistreated, by its residents. What they presented is evocative, passionate, compelling, and visually interesting, whether it was through portraits, landscapes, social commentary, or images of food.
